Thanks to you, we can help ensure women understand their medical rights after an assault. Our SMART Van team is comprised of trained professional who will provide comprehensive counseling and medical support services en-route to an emergency hospital. Often they will also provide pregnancy prophylaxis (Plan B), administer sexually transmitted infection (STI) treatment if needed, and collect forensic evidence (i.e. DNA, blood and semen) to ensure the rights of each woman is secured.

Our consistent presence in the community is critical in helping the community manage emerging issues as they relate to sexual assault and violence. Visibility of our programs and services, our staff and community partners is a significant deterrent,  that gives women the confidence to know help is only a phone call away.  Having access to confidential support is key to engaging with and empowering women facing threats of violence and limiting their potential. Our goal is to help women escape a life of violence to live free from fear to explore their human potential.
